When looking through one of my older cookbooks I came upon a handwritten recipe for “Wright’s Cheese Straws”. I am not sure who Wright is and googling didn’t help. It was in a Pooler, Georgia cookbook from Holy Angels Episcopal Church. The cookbook itself is from 1984, but I am not sure the age of the recipe. I love cheese straws. I haven’t found a recipe as good as the ones we used to get at Christmas parties, so I will be trying this soon! Maybe this recipe will have that taste.
Wright’s Cheese Straws

- 2 c flour

(love this) Mix it up and stuff into a cookie press and grind? it out in strips. Bake at 425 degrees – Just look after them and check every few minutes.
